History of the Rotary Club of La Porte

Founded June 17, 1944, the Rotary Club of La Porte (RCLP) is one of the oldest service clubs in La Porte. Rotary Club of La Porte members are local business and community leaders that share a common goal of contributing to our community, nation and world. All subscribe to the Rotary philosophy of  "Service Above Self."

Club members meet weekly to share fellowship, build friendships and listen to influential and intriguing guest speakers. Members also volunteer their time and talent to support local service projects. Some of which are cherished traditions dating back to 1945.

The heart and soul of the Club, however, is the individual passion for serving others that each member brings. We're an active, enthusiastic group and are always on the lookout for like-minded leaders to join our efforts.
